Angola: Former Handball Player Welcomes Federation Initiative

Luanda — The former star of the national and African handball, Palmira Barbosa, said Friday in Luanda, that the initiative of the Angola Handball Federation (FAAND) to honour various sports figures left her satisfied.

The former captain of the national team and Petro de Luanda club who was speaking after receiving her homage, said that such a recognition act is worthy, because it acknowledges the deeds of citizens for the benefit of the country.

Palmira Barbosa stated that FAAND scores more points with the act which will remain in people's memory.

Palmira Barbosa is one of the icons of national handball for leading the country in the first victories achieved in the continent.
