Angola: UNAIDS Urges Pregnant Women to Adhere to HIV/Aids Test

Luanda — The director of UNAIDS in Angola, Sihaka Tsemo Friday in Luanda called on pregnant women to adhere to voluntary testing of HIV/AIDS in order to reduce the epidemic by 90 percent by 2015.

Speaking to ANGOP, on the sidelines of the closing of the workshop, opened on 27th May, the official said that pregnant women should try to know as early as possible about their HIV status in order to begin treatment immediately, if the test is positive and thus protect their children from the virus.
