Egypt: Update | Egypt Election Results for Presidency Announced

Cairo — The turnout for Egypt's presidential election was about 47 percent, the elections commission said in a press conference on Tuesday that announced former army chief Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's landslide victory.

The number of eligible voters: 53,909,306

The number of voters in Egypt: 25,260,190

The number of voters abroad: 318.033

The number of valid votes: 25,578,223

The number of invalid votes: 1,400,608 (4.7 percent)

Abdel Fattah al-Sisi: 23,780,104 (96.91 percent)

Hamdeen Sabahi : 757,511 votes (3.09 percent)
