It is commonly heard amongst trade negotiators that "no deal is better than a bad deal." This refrain probably doesn't apply in the case of Côte d'Ivoire's EPA negotiations with the EU where no agreement would turn out to be a very bad deal for many of their leading exporters, especially of agricultural products.
The Côte d'Ivoire Government is working with its civil society, business and government partners throughout West Africa and at home to find a solution.
