Minna — No fewer than eleven people have lost their lives while seven others narrowly escaped death when the boat they were travelling on capsized mid-way along the River Niger tributary at Garrafini-Kodo village, Borgu local government council in Niger state.
The incident, according to eyewitness account occurred in the early Monday evening when the boat ferrying the victims across to hinterland from Garafini to Kodo but the boat they were travelling on mistakenly hit a rock on their way back to Garafini same day.
