Workers at the Eldoret Steel Mills company yesterday took to the streets over unpaid dues. More than 100 casual workers barricaded the company's main entrance demanding their salary.
They accused former director Nyarindah Lochab of selling the company before clearing their dues. Lochab, popularly known as Kaka, was locked in his office. The labourers accused him of declining to meet union officials to discuss their arrears. Julius Baraza, a casual worker, said the management has not paid their dues despite promising to do so.
