Kenya: Respect Ward Reps, Kiptire Tells Rutto

ELGEYO MARAKWET county minority leader Benson Kiptire has rubbished claims by the Council of Governors chairman Isaac Rutto. Rutto said Senator Kipchumba Murkomen is using MCAs to impeach Rift Valley governors.

Kiptire said Rutto's remarks "lack direction". He said Rutto should respect ward representatives as duly elected leaders. "The remarks by Rutto that Murkomen is using MCAs are an insult to the members of the county assembly who know their mandate," said Kiptire on Monday.
