Nigeria: Nwabueze Discharged From Hospital After Bathroom Fall

Six days after being admitted in the hospital following a fall in the bathroom of his Lagos residence, renowned Constitutional Lawyer and chairman of the Igbo Leaders of Thought, Prof Ben Nwabueze, was Wednesday discharged from Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) after scans and tests showed he had no broken bones after the incident.

The Deputy Secretary of the Igbo Leaders of Thought, Elliot Uko and Mrs Maria Okwor, leader of Igbo Women Assembly said in a statement made available to journalists after the meeting of the group in Enugu Wednesday that thorough medical checks revealed that the elder statesman was fit as a fiddle.
