Kenya: Belgut URP Leader Thanks Senate for Rescuing Governor Chepkwony

Belgut URP co-coordinator Nelson Koech on Wednesday praised the Senate committee for reinstating Kericho Governor Paul Chepkwony. Thirty two Kericho county assembly MCAs backed calls to impeach Chepkwony a fortnight ago.

Koech asked the MCAs to abide by the Senate's verdict. He said the MCAs should join hands with the governor in implementing development projects that were hampered by the impeachment. Koech was speaking to the Star on the phone on Wednesday.
