Egypt: Mahlab Affirms Commitment to Combat Corruption

Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab affirmed on Thursday the State's commitment to support efforts of the Supreme National Commission on combating corruption to further activate its role.

The minister's remarks came during a meeting today with members of the commission which includes representatives from the Administrative Control Authority (ACA), Central Auditing Organization, administrative prosecution, public prosecution, anti-money laundering unit and the foreign ministry.

The premier also ordered the formation of a subcommittee under the ACA head to report on corruption causes and propose solutions.
