Egypt: Agriculture Minister - Plan to Reclaim Four Million Feddans in Three Years

Agriculture Minister Ayman Farid Abu Hadid said that the Ministry has prepared a plan to reclaim four million feddans over the next three years.

The plan will be implemented by the government, the private sector and investors with the aim of increasing the area of reclaimed lands.

On the sidelines of the 32nd general assembly meeting of the Arab Center for the Studies of Arid Zones and Dry Lands (ACSAD) currently in session in Cairo, Abu Hadid that the State has so far received from local farmers about 3.6 million tons of harvested wheat, half a million tons more than last year.
