Liberia: Deputy Minister for Instruction at Education Ministry visits GVL; Applauds GVL for its Numerous Contributions to Education in Liberia

Sinoe County — Hawah Goll-Kuchi, Deputy Minister for Instruction at the Ministry of Education has lauded Golden Veroleum Liberia for its numerous contributions to education in Liberia especially Sinoe County.

Madam Goll-Kuchi believes Liberians will benefit more from the operation of GVL. Minister Goll-Kuchi says with the provision of scholarships, institution of a school system and sending of Liberians abroad for advance studies are plausible explanation of what GVL is doing for Liberians. Hon. Goll-Kuchi used the medium to inform GVL Management about the new plan for the construction of schools in Liberia.

"GVL is not just investing in a school, but into a school system. We will build the foundation of future GVL management staff, educators, chemists, physicists, mathematicians, engineers and biologists who will help develop Liberia says GVL Managing Director Matt Karinen.

Outlining GVL achievements in the educational sector, Mike Naklen Senior Coordinator of GVL School system says GVL has spent US$400,000 for scholarships, sent seven Liberians to Indonesia for advance mill engineering study, 16 agronomy cadets to shortly depart Liberia, vacation jobs and support the agriculture college of the United Methodist University in Gbason Town, Sinoe County.
