Egypt: Sisi's Inauguration - Minute by Minute

Egyptians celebrate the presidential election on Tahrir Square in Cairo, Egypt.

A minute by minute update of the inauguration ceremony of Egypt's elect-President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

11:17 a.m. : Sisi takes constitutional oath into office as Egypt's President.

11:00 a.m. : Maher Sami, deputy head of the constitutional court gives an improvised speech before Sisi's inaguration in what he described as a "historic day" for the Constitutional Court, adding that Sisi is the people's choice.

10:53 a.m. : Former army chief Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, accompanied by interim President Adly Mansour, arrives at the Supreme Constitutional Court to take oath into office

10:48 a.m. : The arrival of all members of the General Assembly of the Supreme Constitutional Court to attend the inauguration ceremony.
