Malawi: Newly Elected MPs to Be Sworn in From Monday

Blantyre — The swearing-in and orientation ceremonies of Members of Parliament elected in the just ended tripartite elections will be from 9th to 13th June and 9th to 10th in Lilongwe respectively.

According to a press release from the office of the Clerk of Parliament signed by Acting Clerk of Parliament, Roosevelt Gondwe, the swearing in ceremony will take place in the Parliament Chamber from 9th to 10th from 09:30 am to 5pm on each day while the orientation seminar will be held at Bingu International Conference Center from 11th to 13th. Following this, the Office of the Clerk of Parliament is asking all newly elected Honourable Members of Parliament to arrive in Lilongwe by 8th June.
