Egyptians celebrate the presidential election on Tahrir Square in Cairo, Egypt.
Cairo — Egyptian Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab has told Aswat Masriya that the cabinet will convene at 10.00 a.m. on Sunday to submit its resignation to elected President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in accordance with the constitution.
Mahlab was appointed prime minister in February after the cabinet of Hazem al-Beblawi resigned.
Sisi was sworn into office on Sunday after his landslide victory in last month's presidential race against leftist politician Hamdeen Sabahi.
