Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, has congratulated the newly elected Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, on his ascendance to the exalted position.
The governor wished the former Central Bank of Nigeria governor long and fruitful reign as he assumed office as the 57th Emir and hoped that his emergence would further cement the long standing bond between the people of Kano and their brothers and sisters in Lagos and across the country with whom, he said, they have been living in peace and harmonious relationship.
