Kenya: Teacher Killed in Love Triangle

The killing of a teacher in Nyatike constituency has been linked to a love triangle. Peter Wango, a teacher at Ogaka Primary School, was killed and his body dumped in a pit latrine behind a bar. Locals said Wango was killed after a love triangle involving a teacher at Owich Primary School and a man who owns a bar at Osiri mines.

His body, which had deep panga wounds, was found on Friday. Residents threatened to lynch the bar owner and a suspected killer, who were rescued by police. Six houses belonging to the suspects were set ablaze. Area police boss Tom Onyango said the teacher was reported missing for two days before his body was found.
