Lafia — The Nasarawa State Water Board yesterday signed a N6.4 million contract with three companies to carry out major repair works on the ailing Mada Water Works to boost water supply to Keffi, Akwanga and other major towns within the northern and western axis of the state.
Acting General Manager of the board, Engineer Simon Ibi, told Daily Trust that Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura approved the contract as part of the administration's efforts to tackle the problem of water shortage across the state.
