Zimbabwe: More Council Bosses Face Chop

More Harare City Council managers are facing the chop as the city continues rationalising its workforce to reduce the salary bill, which is consuming more than half of its revenue.

Harare Water director Engineer Christopher Zvobgo, whose contract lapsed at the end of May, will be replaced, while Engineer Phillip Pfukwa -- who headed engineering services -- is set to leave in August when he reaches the mandatory retirement age of 60.
