Egypt: Sisi Discusses With CBE Governor Monetary Reserves

President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi met on Monday 9/6/2014 at Heliopolis Presidential Palace with Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Governor Hisham Ramez to discuss the bank's monetary policies, increasing the country's foreign currency reserves and stabilizing the pound's exchange rates versus foreign currencies.

The CBE governor stressed the strength of the Egyptian banking system and expressed readiness to finance future economic growth projects with special focus on small- and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) and the real estate mortgage program which has socio-economic dimensions.
