Gambia: Two Arraigned for Alleged Burglary

Alieu Njie and Sanna Gassama were recently arraigned at the Brikama Magistrates' Court for shop breaking and stealing.

According to the particulars of offence on count one, the accused persons on 4 May 2014, at Brikama, Kombo Central, West Coast region, broke and entered into the Internet Café of one Yusupha Jahateh with intent to commit an offence therein stealing

Count two stated that on the same day, month, year and at the same place, they stole the following items; one computer flat screen marked LG valued at D2,500, one monitor valued at D2,500, one 3G data card valued at D8,000, two web camera valued at D1,500, one router charger valued at D1,000, one keyboard valued at D200 and one mouse valued at D150, the total value was D15,850, being the property of the said Yusupha Jahateh.

They denied the charges and the case was adjourned for hearing.
