Ghana: Kumasi Spits Fire On Mahama

Kumasi — THE KUMEPREKO demonstration which hit the nation in the 1990s was re-enacted in Kumasi yesterday as thousands of the residents trooped onto the streets of the Garden City to register their protest against the way and manner the national economy is being run by the John Mahama led National Democratic Congress (NDC) government.

The protesting residents defied their usual daily businesses and thronged the principal streets of the metropolis to pour their frustrations and anger at the alleged poor performance of the ruling government. The residents gathered in thick crowds in their red and black attire, wielding placards bearing several inscriptions to send a message to the President and the NDC administration about the untold hardships in the country.
