Cairo — Two defendants will stand trial this Sunday over a sexual assault that took place in Heliopolis during last week's celebrations of Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's inauguration.

The suspects are also accused of attacking a police conscript for trying to help two women who they had harassed, a prosecutor said.

The suspects were then arrested, with the help of passersby, and handed over to the authorities who opened investigations into the case.

Investigations have revealed that the suspects attacked the conscript while he was on duty and harassed the women.
