Tunisia: Delegation of Twenty Business Managers Accompanying PM in His Visit to Germany

Tunis — A delegation of the Tunisian Confederation of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts (UTICA) composed of more than twenty business managers is accompanying Interim Prime Minister Mehdi Jomaa in his visit to Germany since Tuesday June 17.

The delegation, led by First Vice-President of the employers' organisation Hichem Elloumi, visited, on Wednesday, the logistics centre of "DHL" Company specialising in express mail and based in the city of Leipzig, the Cluster of Biotechnology and the training centre in the areas of automotive components and electrical industries, said the UTICA.

The programme of the UTICA delegation also includes its participation in the Tunisian-German business forum scheduled on June 19, 2014, in the presence of Interim Prime Minister Mehdi Jomaa and German Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Sigmar Gabriel, as well as nearly 200 German business leaders.

The forum will discuss the prospects for Tunisian-German economic co-operation and ways to further encourage and boost German investment in Tunisia.

Bilateral meetings between UTICA delegation members and German businessmen are also expected on the sidelines of this forum.
