Kenya: MPs File Censure Motion Against Lenku Over Raila

Cord MPs have filed a censure motion against Interior Secretary Joseph ole Lenku. Yesterday, about 10 Cord MPs said the motion to be moved by Kisumu Central MP Ken Obura is backed by the coalition.

They said Lenku is incompetent to ensure safety for Kenyans following the recent killings of more than 65 Kenyans in Mpeketoni. MPs John Mbadi (Suba), Opiyo Wandayi (Ugunja), John Waluke (Sirisia), Christine Ombaka (Siaya women's rep), Joyce Lay (Taita Taveta) James Nyikal (Seme), Tom Kajwang' (Ruaraka) and Aduma Owuor (Nyakach) also faulted Lenku for dragging Raila Odinga's name into the killings.
