By Kabiru R. Anwar
Yola — The military has shut down Yola International Airport, preventing Governor Nyako from taking off to Abuja this morning where he is expected to attend a meeting initiated by former British prime minister, Gordon Brown today.
A staff at the airport told Daily Trust that the airport has been shut against all commercial and private plane based on orders from authorities in Abuja.
He said Air Force personnel thronged the airport early morning and chased staff at the control tower. They also put the entrance to the airport terminal under lock.
