Angola: Health Ministry Boosts Operational Strategies to Reducing STDs/HIV

Luanda — The reinforcement of sensitizing actions aimed to reduce Sexual Transmitted Diseases (STDs) and HIV are some strategies of the Ministry of Health in order to reduce these illnesses, said on Thursday, in Luanda the deputy general director of National Institute of Fighting against Aids (Inls), Maria Lúcia Furtado.

The official who was speaking during the assessment meeting of implementation of 4th National Plan for STDs/HIV and Aids (PEN-2011-2014) and the assessment of strategic lines for 5th National Strategic Plan (PEN 2015-2018), said that the actions of sensitization will cover the prevention on vertical transmission (PTV), as well as a promotion of concept of child survivors of HIV/AIDS.
