Angola: Economic Development Boosts ICTs Sector - Official

Luanda — The Luanda deputy governor for the Technical Sector and Infrastructure, Agostinho Silva, considered Thursday in Luanda that the economic development of the capital and the country at large has boosted the field of information technologies.

The official was speaking on the first day of the Expo TIC - Angola International Information and Communication Technologies Hall jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technologies and the Luanda International Fair (FIL).

According to him, Luanda is recording a significant rise in the use and access to the information and communication technologies.

He stated that the satisfactory political and social context that the country enjoys since peace was achieved is the great reason behind the rise in the use and development of the information technologies in Angola.

"We believe that this great exhibition shows the innovations in our services, products and solutions and will bring about advantages to the Angolan market, particularly those that will have a real impact on the life of our citizens and on the economy," he stressed.
