Tunisia: Marzouki Relies On National Army to Make of Next Elections a Success

Carthage — Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces President Moncef Marzouki pointed out, on Thursday, the importance of the National Army's role in guaranteeing the smooth organisation of the next elections, the objective is to finalise the transitional phase and lay the foundations of a democratic State.

Taking the floor at a ceremony organised in Carthage on the 58th anniversary of the National Army, Marzouki laid emphasis on the national army's key role in protecting borders and foil terrorist groups' plots aimed to compromise the transitional process and impede the organisation of the forthcoming elections.
