Egypt: Arab Forum for Renewable Energy Recommends Using Renewable Energy in Arab Countries

The Arab forum for renewable energy and energy efficiency asserted the importance of pumping more investments in the development of renewable energy resources and the efficient use of energy in Arab countries.

A final statement issued by the organizing committee of the forum underlined the significant role that could be played by small- and medium-sized enterprises on this score.

The forum showed its desire to back up the small- and medium- enterprises to engage in these areas to meet the increasing energy demands and provide various sectors with effective and useful technical and service solutions which could contribute to eliminating poverty and unemployment and achieving sustainable development.

The forum confirmed that it would work on transferring to Arab stakeholders the best practices and experiences of other countries that have succeeded in the field of the renewable energy and supporting energy efficiency programs in the Arab region.
