Luanda — Angolan minister of National Defence João Lourenço congratulated, on behalf of the sector, Angolan Armed Forces and his own, the Ministry of Interior (MININT) on the celebration of 35th anniversary of its foundation, on 22 June.

This is contained in a message sent to Angop on Saturday, stating that the event happens at a time when the MININT is engaged in finding the best strategies on public safety.

The minister also expressed congratulation on all measures taken by MININT meant to curb the criminal actions countrywide, particularly in large urban zones.

The incumbent defence minister also reiterates determination to cooperate with the MININT in its task aimed at mitigating the high crime rates affecting Luanda city, under the latest guidance of the President and Commander in Chief of the FAA, José Eduardo dos Santos.
