Asamoah Gyan celebrates his and Ghana's only goal in the match with Brazil.

Asamoah Gyan is proud. The Ghanaian striker has made an outstanding performance Saturday against Germany. The front center of Al Ain scored the second goal of Ghana (2-2) and also went into the history of the scorers in the World Cup. Giving the advantage to the Black Stars, Gyan became the first African player to score in three World Cups in a row.

He relishes: "A privilege to be the first African to score in three finals of the World Cup", he has stated on his Twitter account. At the same time, Gyan also holds the record of goals scored by an African at a World Cup. He has now scored 5, the same number as Cameroon legend Roger Milla.

"I am happy with this record, it is not easy to score 5 goals, I'm really happy," he added.
