Eritrea: Financial and Material Assistance Provided to Martyrs Families in Mendefera, Dubarwa and Hagaz Sub-Zones

Mendefera — As part of the continuous efforts on the part of the Government and the people to assist martyrs families, financial and material assistance has been provided to martyrs families in the sub-zones of Mendefera, Dubarwa and Hagaz.

According to Ms. Tsige Bariagabir, Head of the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare in Mendefera sub-zone, more that 533 thousand Nakfa has been disbursed to 61 martyrs' families.

Likewise, in the past six months 240 thousand Nakfa has been disbursed to 8 martyrs' families, 40 martyrs' spouses trained in weaving, and 80 students have been provided with education materials.

Mr. Mehari Tesfaselasie, managing director of the Mereb administrative area, on his part indicated that land plots of 35 martyrs' families has been ploughed.

Moreover, according to Mr. Seid Mohammed-Ali, Administrator of Fana administrative area, Hagaz sub-zone, financial assistance has been provided to 19 martyrs' families
