Tunisia: Marzouki Arrives in Niamey, Niger

Niamey — Caretaker President Moncef Marzouki arrived, on Sunday in Niamey, capital of Niger, second stop in an African tour he began from Mali and that will also take him to Chad and Gabon.

The Tunisian president was received at the International Airport of Niamey by Niger's President Mahamadou Issoufou who was accompanied by the Prime Minister and government members.

The two presidents saluted the Tunisian and Nigerien flags as the two countries' national anthems were performed.

Marzouki is visiting Niger accompanied by a delegation of ministers (Foreign Affairs, Higher Education and Scientific Research, Religious Affairs) and nearly 100 businessmen and business women and representatives of Tunisian companies and public structures.
