Mogadishu — The assassination of Somali journalist Yusuf Ahmed Keynan at the weekend was an attempt to silence the press, journalists say, vowing to continue their efforts to preserve freedom of speech and the press despite mounting fears.
Keynan, 26, was killed Saturday morning (June 21st) when a bomb planted in his car was remotely detonated as he drove to work, police and witnesses said.
