Nigeria: Soldiers Hold Tambuwal Hostage, Insist On Searching Speaker's Car

Soldiers attached to a venue of international conference on security and development challenges of pastoralism in West and central Africa organised by the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), Monday insisted that they must search the car of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.

The incident, which occurred at Hotel 17 venue of the conference at Kaduna, was condemned by Tambuwal's spokesperson, Malam Imam Imam, who decried it as a conduct that undermines the institution of the legislature.
