Nigeria: Turkey to Support NEMA On Humanitarian Intervention

The Government of Turkey has offered to support the on-going humanitarian intervention in communities affected by security challenges through partnership with the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to bring more succour to the displaced persons in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa States.

The Turkish Ambassador to Nigeria, Mustafa Pulat disclosed this at the weekend during his visit to the headquarters of NEMA in Abuja. He also said that in the desire to support the humanitarian efforts, a delegation from his country will soon arrive in Nigeria towards actualization the kind gesture. He further requested the partnership of NEMA with the Turkish authorities to identify the priority areas of the humanitarian needs for assistance to the affected communities, especially to support the displaced persons.
