Kenyan police shot dead six suspected poachers on the Meru-Nanyuki road in Tiamu, Meru County, on Monday night (June 23rd), Kenya's The Standard reported.
Police recovered two AK-47 rifles from the suspects, who were believed to be members of a poaching gang responsible for the killing of several elephants in the area.
