Nigeria: Yobe Places Medical Students On Salary, Recruits 52 Nurses

Damaturu — Yobe State Governor Alhaji Ibrahim Gaidam yesterday approved the immediate recruitment of 52 nurses and the placement of 104 medical students on salary Grade Level 06 in the state's civil service.

Malam Abdullahi Bego, the governor's Special Adviser on Press Affairs, said in a statement yesterday that the approval came after the 52 nurses passed their nursing and midwifery council examinations and successfully gra-duated. All the nurses will be placed on the appropriate salary scale applicable to nurses in the state, he said.
