Nigeria: NDLEA Seizes 3.5 MillionKg Drugs in 23 Years

Lagos — Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Ahmadu Giade, said the anti-drug agency seized a total of 3,582,563.072 kg and arrested 87,813 suspected drug traffickers between 1990 and 2013.

Speaking on Wednesday, ahead of today's International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking, the NDLEA Chairman disclosed that the country has recorded impressive results in the fight to eliminate illicit drugs from the country.
