Nigeria: Niger Begins Sale of Grains At Subsidised Rate

Minna — Niger State Government has commenced the sales of 158 metric tons of assorted grains worth N16 million to the less privileged at subsidised rate to provide succour to mark the beginning of Ramadan fast at 14 selling points in Minna metropolis.

The state Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Prof. Mohammed Kuta Yahaya, disclosed this in an interview in Minna, explaining the gesture is part of the administrations' social intervention to alleviate the plight of the common man.
