Nigeria: Accident Claims Two Lives in Benin

Two people were at the weekend burnt beyond recognition at the Oluku end of the Benin Bypass in Ovia Northeast local government area of Edo State, following an accident involving a truck and a fuel tanker. Four others were reported to have sustained serious burns and were rushed to the Central Hospital, Benin City for medical attention.

The accident was said to have occurred when an Articulated Truck belonging Dangote Group of Companies rammed into a tanker fully loaded with 33,000 litres of Premium Motor Spirit(fuel), causing the tanker to catch fire with two other trailers along the Benin bypass.
