Kenya: Embu Slams Soaring Expenses

Embu County Assembly's Budget and Appropriation Committee says that residents are angry at Embu County government's soaring recurrent expenditure at the expense of development.

The Committee chairman Joseph Mwaniki Nyagah said that Embu residents have said that they are angry that the government's annual recurrent expenditure which is 2.6billion (53.73 percent) against a sh4.2 billion budget is too high.
