The Congress of South African Trade Unions declares its total solidarity with the 220 000 members of the National Union of Metalworkers of SA in the metals and engineering sectors, who are on strike, starting on 1 July 2014.
They face intransigent employers who could already have reached a settlement, but chose to put their profits before the workers and the future of the economy.
