The Federal Executive Council (FEC), on Wednesday, approved a N5.6 billion contract for the completion of Mangu Dam, a component of Mangu Regional Water Supply Scheme in Plateau State.
The Minister of Water Resources, Sarah Ochekpe, who made the request, explained that upon completion, the project would make available 17.2m litres of potable water daily and 1.5 megawatts of electricity to about 10 communities with an estimated population of about 700,000 residents.
