At least 38 villages in Mwanga, Same and Korogwe districts in Kilimanjaro and Tanga regions, the Minister for Water, Prof Jumanne Maghembe said.

"The projects will involve taping water from Nyumba ya Mungu to those villages," the minister pointed out. "Water shortage in Mwanga will be history," he said.

Prof. Maghembe who is also the Member of Parliament for Mwanga said that a total of 23 contractors have applied for a job and what is taking place now is screening them to get the best three who will undertake the projects.
