Kenya: Elders Disown Monday Rally

Kikuyu elders have called upon Kenyans not to attend the Saba Saba rally organised by the opposition on Monday.

Kikuyu Council of Elders national chairman Wachira Kiago said Kenyans should not be misled to attend an ill-motivated meeting.

He called on foreign countries to respect President Uhuru kenyatta and Deputy president William Ruto as they are democratically elected.

Speaking in Kasarani yesterday, Kiago said there has been a sustained campaign on discrediting the institutions like the Supreme Court and the IEBC, which are very vital in the county.
