Sudan: Darfur Displaced Regret Sudan Liberation Movement Split

Darfur / Eastern Chad — The displaced in the North Darfur camps have expressed their regret at the recent split of the Sudan Liberation Movement-Second Revolution (SLM-SR), led by Abulgasim Imam, from the Sudan Liberation Movement, headed by Abdel Wahid El Nur (SLM-AW).

A resident of the Naivasha camp for the displaced in North Darfur called via Radio Dabanga upon the parties to "resort to the voice of reason, and to unite again", stressing that the displaced in the camps refuse these kinds of splits. "The only beneficiary of the Sudan Liberation Movement's split is the ruling National Congress Party."
