Kenya: Health Diary

The National Council for Population and Development will lead the country in marking the World Population Day in Nairobi on Friday. Kenya's birthrate is 4.68 births per woman, which the government wants reduced to 2 births to be sustainable. The country's population is about 43 million people.

The proposed reproductive health Bill hopes to contribute to this by improving access to contraceptives.
