Liberia: GVL Regrets Attack On Local Official

Golden Veroleum Liberia has described as unfortunate recent attack against Mr. Benedict Manawah, the chairmen of Abloteh, a local community in a scuffle in Butaw, Sinoe County while he was en-route to a community meeting. According to a GVL press release, Mr. Manawah sustained moderate injuries after he was attacked by an agitator to the community development process, 3 July.

He has since been released from the government hospital in Greenville, Sinoe County. "It is unfortunate that Mr. Manawah was attacked in such a manner and we wish him a complete and full recovery," said Virgil Magee, GVL head of corporate communication.
